JJ Redick’s Top Five NBA Shooters

Former NBA player and current Los Angeles Lakers coach JJ Redick, known for his shooting prowess, doesn’t include himself among the top five shooters in NBA history.

In a recent episode of “The Draymond Green Show,” hosted by Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green, Redick was prompted to share his personal list of the best three-point shooters ever.

“Oh, that’s easy. That’s easy. Steph [Curry] is first. Everybody else is way down the list to me,” Redick stated, to which Green nodded in agreement.

“In no particular order, the other four are Klay [Thompson], Kyle Korver, Ray Allen, and Reggie Miller. To me, those are the guys.”

Historically, before the emergence of the splash brothers, players like Allen and Miller dominated the top shooter rankings, so Redick’s list doesn’t raise many eyebrows there. However, including Kyle Korver might prompt some surprise, simply because his achievements don’t quite stack up to those of the other legends mentioned.

Yet, true basketball enthusiasts recognize that Korver was among the most skilled shooters of his era, highlighted by a remarkable season with the Atlanta Hawks in which he posted an incredible 49.2% shooting rate from beyond the arc.

Finishing his career with a three-point shooting percentage of 42.9%, Korver ranks tenth all-time, even surpassing Steph Curry’s current 42.2% average.

Additionally, Korver’s total of 2,450 three-pointers made puts him eighth on the all-time list, although Paul George is just three shots away from matching that record and Kevin Durant isn’t too far behind either.

Green appeared unfazed by Redick’s inclusion of Korver; he nodded along with the selection. Some notable players missing from the conversation include Damian Lillard, James Harden, and possibly even Redick himself.
