Lakers’ JJ Redick rips refs over no-call on ‘blatant trip’ of Luka Doncic in brutal Game 4 loss

JJ Reddick went out to officials after losing to the Timberwolves on Sunday.

The bigger issue on Sunday was the fact that the Lakers missed their fourth quarter lead with a loss of 116-113 at Target Center, but Redick wasn’t happy with how the game was hosted and specifically called for examples of Luka Donnik involved.

The play in question was one of the fourth quarters, during which it seemed Donsic had stumbled, but no calls were made.

“Luca stumbled. It was a blatant trip. He didn’t just fall on his own. We’re watching, he stumbled. He should have been on the free throw line.

Donsic was trying to advance the ball at the half court line depending on who you asked. I stumbled and intervened The Timberwolves moved forward with Jaden McDaniels’ feet and lost their balance.

Anthony Edwards helped win the T-Wolf on Sunday night, finishing the game with 43 points with 12 shots from the field, nine rebounds, six assists and one block.

The Lakers’ instability led to criticism of Reddick from Lakers legend Magic Johnson.

“I don’t know if it’s smart to play LeBron [James] And Luka [Doncic] The whole second half after a day of rest between games 3 and 4.” Johnson posted on X on Sunday. “When LeBron had to take over in the fourth quarter, he couldn’t. He scored 0 points in fourth place.”

He also posted: “I’m tired of my stomach that the Lakers lost this game after controlling most of the 2-half of the 3rd.”

The entire Lakers season will take place on Wednesday when Game 5 is held at Crypto.com Arena.
