This critique, which seemed aimed at Luka Doncic, appears to have been taken to heart, as he showed up in noticeably better shape this summer.
Looking at the roster, general manager Rob Pelinka has made moves to bolster the team with solid role players around LeBron and Doncic. Key additions include Deandre Ayton, Marcus Smart, and Jake Laravia.
During the 2024-25 season, the Lakers had a strong showing against the Warriors, winning three out of four encounters.
