Lance Twiggs Claims Tyler Robinson Confessed to Killing Charlie Kirk

Lance Twiggs, who is Tyler Robinson’s roommate and reportedly transgender boyfriend, testified that Robinson confessed to killing Charlie Kirk, the founder of Turning Point USA (TPUSA).

This testimony was played in a Provo, Utah courtroom on Thursday. An audio portion of the recorded interview featured Twiggs being shown a message where Robinson claimed responsibility for the death of the conservative activist. When asked about his first reaction to that message, Twiggs stated, “I asked him if what he said in the text was true, and he said it was.”

Twiggs revealed that Robinson expressed regret, saying, “He wishes he hadn’t done that.”

Additionally, Twiggs testified about surveillance footage from Utah Valley University (UVU), which was released by the FBI, stating it “does look like Tyler Robinson.” He noted, “The last two in particular definitely look like him.” (Related: 6 Biggest Revelations So Far From Charlie Kirk Murder Preliminary Trial)

Twiggs’ account also seems to align with the sequence of events surrounding Kirk’s death. He mentioned that Robinson left his St. George apartment around 4 a.m. The drive to UVU takes roughly 3 hours and 45 minutes, which matches the timeline of Robinson arriving at UVU at around 8 a.m., as seen in the surveillance video.

The recorded interview also mentioned a note on Robinson’s desk that he asked Twiggs to retrieve and read. This note has been submitted as evidence but its contents will not be disclosed to the media or made public.

Thursday marks the fourth day of a preliminary hearing for Tyler Robinson, aimed at deciding whether there’s enough evidence for the case to proceed to trial. The hearing is set to wrap up on Friday by 5:00 pm (MDT).
