Carson Beck is not worthy of a big check in Lane Kiffin’s opinion.
Following the 2024 season, the quarterback entered the transfer portal after the NFL Draft first declared that it would boost inventory in 2026.
He left Georgia and joined the Miami Hurricane.
In doing so, Beck, who replaces the NFL-bound CAM word, signed a reported NIL deal worth $4.3 million.
When he learned about the figure while appearing on Friday’s “The Pivot Podcast,” Ole Miss head coach was unearthed as a former Bulldog quarterback.
“Did Miami give him $4.3 million?” Kiffin I asked. “Did they see his game against us?”
Beck only lost two games in the 2024 season.
One of them was in the hands of Kiffin and Ole Miss. This was a 28-10 loss, with Beck throwing 31-20 for 186 yards and one intercept.
It was a big dip from what Georgia normally saw from a quarterback. They finished the season and threw for 3,485 yards with 28 touchdowns and 12 interceptions.
He also recorded a pass completion rate of 64.7%.
However, Kiffin did not accuse Beck of what the money is, as it is the way the system works in current college games.
“I don’t get mad at my kids,” he said. “It’s not their fault. The system, [they] You can get it. It’s a free market with no caps and no unlimited boosters in some areas. ”
Beck’s deal is only behind the value of Arch Manning, worth $6.6 million.
