Lara Trump became co-chair of the Republican National Committee (RNC) in March, serving alongside Chairman Michael Whatley.

She cited her work with the RNC as the reason she is eligible for the Senate.

She said she was proud of the turnout and fundraising efforts at the RNC.

“I would say my track record speaks for itself. Maybe having the last name Trump is just a little bit special,” she said.
