In another shocking deal, Houston Texans I'm trading Tackle Rameaton Sill on the left Washington Commander For a lot of picks. With this year's third and seventh round picks, Washington will also trade second and fourth round picks in 2026. Houston will tag this year's fourth round pick and send it to Tunsil and DC.
How do each team score in this transaction? We'll break it down for you.
Houston Texans: C-
The Texans process is confused by what's here. Yes, Tunsil appeared in an extension and spent last season's down years, but he did enough to convince Houston that it was just a blip on the radar. Now it's a pivotal year for the Texans and QB CJ Stroud, with Houston having big holes in both the left tackle and guard spot and center. They have already taken RG Shaq Mason to join a free agency, and no one they have now has quality in the interior. Can they do it before Stroud really gets expensive?
This is truly an inexplicable job by the Texans and it feels like a bad process. The only thing to save on this transaction is getting your pick back.
Commander Washington: a-
A way to drill a hole. Brandon Coleman played well in the spurt with the left tackle, but Tunsil allows them to move Coleman inward and guard. Tunsil remains one of the best pass protectors in the entire league, with enough quality moments left in the tank. The only reason this doesn't get the full mark of A is because they gave up a lot of picks, but even those picks seem like a really low risk. The bunch of picks in the second and fourth rounds doesn't seem too bad, and these picks aren't too fast as the rookie QBs are ready to win.
Washington has been busy this offseason, but this was their favorite move.
