Large fight at mall: 300 teenagers gather, cause chaos, and clash with police. TikTok star organized gathering.

Massive Brawl at New Jersey Mall

A significant brawl erupted in a New Jersey shopping mall on Saturday night, according to reports. The incident took place at Menlo Park Mall in Edison.

It seems that a few days earlier, TikTok influencers had encouraged their followers to gather at the mall, igniting a chaotic scene as teens converged on the location.

“Parents really need to keep an eye on their kids. It’s not right for them to be causing chaos in other towns,” said a concerned local.

According to the Edison police, confusion and violence began shortly after around 8 PM when the teenagers flooded the mall.

Police Chief Thomas Bryan mentioned, “There was a large brawl; pushing and shoving were rampant. When our officers showed up, some began fighting with them.”

Interestingly, reports indicated that onlookers misinterpreted the situation, fearing a gunshot had been fired—a rumor that added to the hysteria.

Videos captured by witnesses display the chaos. At one point in these clips, officers are seen holding what appears to be a rifle. Chief Bryan noted that police had received reports about a potential shooter and needed to be prepared.

One officer sustained injuries during the altercation, and police from nearby towns had to respond to help manage the disorder. The melee lasted about an hour and a half before order was restored.

Six teenagers were arrested for disorderly conduct, while one faced charges for assaulting an officer. They were later released to their parents.

Edison Mayor Sam Joshi addressed parents during a press conference, urging them to consider their responsibility. “What were parents thinking, allowing their kids to come here and cause such a mess? It just doesn’t make sense,” he remarked.

The police are also looking into the TikTok influencer who initiated the meetup, as concerns about accountability arise. Fortunately, no property damage was reported.
