“This is a double whammy,” said Melody Willis Williams, president of Vegas Weddings, which operates multiple venues. “These special days are always hugely popular, but when you tie it to New Year’s Eve, it gets even more attention.”
The number to break on New Year's Eve is 4,492, which is the Las Vegas single-day wedding record set on July 7, 2007. The second most popular special wedding date in county marriage bureau records is November 11, 2011. When 3,125 couples got married.
Since 2018, 450 to 550 couples have typically tied the knot on New Year's Eve in Las Vegas, according to the Review-Journal.

Willis-Williams said her company alone has more than 120 couples scheduled to get married on New Year's Eve. Five of her couples get married just as the clock is counting down to midnight.
Clark County Clerk Lynn Marie Goya said couples who got married on special dates in Las Vegas described them as “magical dates” that were memorable.
“I think the group's dynamic celebration is really fascinating,” Goya said. “When everyone lines up and gets married and is excited about love, it only enhances their own experience.”
