The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department held a press conference Thursday to provide information about the officer who responded to a 911 call on Tuesday and killed the person who called 911 on behalf of a robbery suspect.
Police received a 911 call around 12:40 a.m. Tuesday. Las Vegas Review Journal reported. In the call, “Brandon Durham, 43,…told officers that two people had broken into the home he shared with his 15-year-old daughter.”
Responding officers found the windows of a vehicle in the driveway smashed and the windows of the home also smashed.
When police entered the home, they found Durham and 31-year-old Alejandra Boudreaux struggling for control of a knife.
Repeated police commands for him to drop the knife were ignored, and officers reportedly opened fire. Durham was killed by multiple gunshots.
