She chose the Friday deadline in writing, opposed to the prosecutor’s request, and chose to select third-party readers to read the transcript of the text message sent between Read and O’Keefe.

They are scheduled to release a start statement next week, with prosecutors rising first on Tuesday.

This trial is expected to last for six to eight weeks, after taking more than two weeks to be a ju judge. If convicted, reads could face the biggest life in prison.
