Late-night hosts struggle to keep viewers engaged with Tim Walz, John Kerry.

Late-night hosts struggle to keep viewers engaged with Tim Walz, John Kerry.

Johnny Carson once captivated audiences with a lineup of stellar guests on the “Tonight Show.” Think of icons like Sinatra, Reynolds, Rickles, and Martin.

These days, late-night TV seems to be anchored by figures like John Kerry and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz. Both of them are progressive Democrats who made appearances this week, seemingly trying to hit home runs with their responses to some pretty easy questions.

In his segment on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”, Walz took a moment to redirect blame for massive fraud in Minnesota toward President Donald Trump. As for the pressing question of whether he might exit his re-election campaign? Well, that’s pretty unlikely.

Honestly, it’d be a relief to see a sign saying “Technical Issues: Please Wait” rather than tuning into these late-night antics…

Supernatural Skills

Apparently, supernatural abilities are kind of overrated.

This week, Sunny Hostin decided to share her unique talents with the viewers of ABC’s “The View” as they debated over who might be the least intellectually gifted among them. Spoiler alert: it doesn’t involve bending the truth into knots; she’s already done that numerous times.

During her segment, Hostin revealed that she believes she possesses psychic abilities.

“I think I have psychic powers. I remember as a kid, about five years old, my family was quite poor, and I had a lot of dreams. My grandmother once said, ‘I’m going to play that song.’ We played what we called the numbers game, and the entire family ended up winning based on that number.”

Did she somehow predict that “The View” would become a train wreck? If she did, maybe those powers are real…

Chainsaw News

Leatherface is all set for his next appearance.

The bidding for the Texas Chainsaw Massacre franchise has wrapped up, and a new director is stepping in. Curry Barker (“Obsession”) will be directing the upcoming project from A24 Films.

But really, why?

The original 1974 film is a classic for all the right reasons. Gripping, shocking, and it truly transformed the horror genre in a way that still resonates. It’s the ultimate Nightmare Fuel, aided by a unique vocal cameo from John Larroquette (who famously got paid in pots, by the way). Unfortunately, not many quality horror films have followed in its footsteps.

Out of the eight films in the series, only one stands out, and that’s the often-underrated 2003 reboot featuring Jessica Biel, as the rest offer only modest entertainment value for horror fans.

Will this new installment, the ninth in the series, find success? Barker, known for his low-budget horror film “Milk & Cereal”, is generating some positive buzz ahead of its release next month.

If it doesn’t hit the mark, who knows? We might see another reboot in just a few years…

Violence in Comedy

Projection can be a dangerous game.

Left-leaning personalities often reveal their darker sides by projecting their tendencies onto their opponents. Margaret Cho is a prime example of this.

The outspoken cartoonist recently went off on everything related to President Trump in a new interview. And that’s not all she said.

“I’m a Democrat, yet I’m strangely obsessed with civility and decorum, which clearly doesn’t work. What we really need is a wild, bloodthirsty, violent Democrat who’s willing to throw everyone in jail.”

Perhaps Cho took a hit to the head somewhere around 2017 and has just now resurfaced after a lengthy absence. Wishing her a speedy recovery…

Rock and Roll Wrap-Up

Looks like Bruce Springsteen missed some local deals.

The 76-year-old’s anti-Trump tour has received quite the spotlight, maybe because mainstream media seems to favor his extreme left views.

However, recent reviews of his concert in New Jersey have put a stop to the media’s praise.

One such review from NJ.com was particularly harsh, branding the performance as “poisoned by hypocrisy.”

Now, Springsteen, once celebrated as a blue-collar icon, charges exorbitant amounts for tickets. Prime seats in Newark went for up to $2,900. Despite backlash from fans, he stood firm on pricing. Oh, and he’s selling No Kings-branded flags for $90 at the venue.

Even though the publication leans left, the blatant double standard from the Boss was too much for even his liberal supporters to ignore. Seems like the glory days are a thing of the past.
