Negotiations between Prisma Health and UnitedHealthcare continue following the new proposal. UnitedHealthcare said it submitted a new proposal to Prisma on June 14, and released a statement saying, “Our latest proposal will allow Prisma to be reimbursed at rates that are fair and more than reasonable. We hope Prisma will finalize the terms of our proposal or offer rates that are acceptable and affordable to the people of South Carolina and the employers we jointly serve.” In other news: Police say armed and dangerous suspect opened fire on school bus after lengthy pursuit. “We are in active discussions with United, but their latest proposal still does not fully address the rising costs that Prisma Health is passing on to its health plan members,” Prisma Health said on its website. “Over the past year, we have entered into renewal agreements with all other health insurance companies and remain in their networks because the terms were fair and reasonable,” Prisma continued.

Negotiations between Prisma Health and UnitedHealthcare are continuing following the new proposal.

UnitedHealthcare said it submitted a new proposal to Prisma on June 14, and released a statement saying, “Our updated proposal will allow Prisma to be reimbursed at rates that are fair and at least reasonable. We look forward to Prisma finalizing the terms of our proposal or offering rates that are acceptable and affordable to the people of South Carolina and the employers we jointly serve.”
