Congresswoman Lauren Boebert credits celebrities like Barbra Streisand and actor Ryan Reynolds with influencing her decision to move to a different district.

In an interview on Steve Bannon's “War Room” podcast on Saturday, Boebert (R-Colo.) said that Hollywood actors' donations to Democratic opponent Adam Frisch “have changed their current congressional districts.” “They're trying to take over,” he said.
He said the decision was based on “how best to protect and advance the principles of conservatism” as the rationale for moving the state's House district away from the 3rd District.rd to 4th.
“But we need a strong voice there and we have to shut down the Hollywood elites who are trying to buy my current district,” she said. “Although nearly $10 million has been poured into this district to buy seats, Colorado's 3rd Congressional District is not for sale.”
Boebert will not face Frisch again as she announced last week that she would be changing districts. He lost to Frisch in the 2022 midterm elections by just 546 votes. Since then, Ms. Frisch has raised more money for her campaign than Ms. Boebert, $7.7 million to her $2.2 million.
As Boebert has consistently stated, she will not allow “black money” to “steal this seat.” In her latest interview, she reiterated that claim, claiming that Hollywood is directly funding the opposition.
“When Barbra Streisand comes and donates to the Democratic Party, when Ryan Reynolds comes and donates to the Democratic Party, it's coming from Hollywood,” she said. “This shows that Hollywood is trying to make inroads into Congress.”
Reynolds donated $500 to Frisch's campaign in March, and Streisand donated $1,000 in April, according to Federal Election Commission records.
Rep. Ken Buck (R-Colo.) said last year that she would not seek re-election, which is why Boebert is currently vying for the seat. Boebert, the state's Republican candidate, has had a controversial tenure in office.rd As a result of this swap, Frisch now has a better chance of winning the Congressional district.
