Lauren Conrad Celebrates 40th Birthday with Prom-Themed Party
Lauren Conrad marked her 40th birthday with an extravagant high school prom-themed celebration. The “Laguna Beach” alum, who had her own prom featured on the MTV show back in 2004, shared a series of photos from the event on Instagram.
In one of the first images, Conrad is seen in a blue strapless dress, sharing a kiss with her husband, William Tell, who complemented her look in a matching retro tuxedo.
On her left arm, she wore a traditional corsage and opted for her signature soft curls. Other snapshots captured Tell performing on stage and Conrad mingling with friends to celebrate her big day.
Behind-the-scenes photos revealed colorful party preparations, complete with pink and red floral centerpieces, balloons, streamers, and even a disco ball. One amusing photo booth snapshot featured a napkin that read “Senior, Senior Prom” alongside “Party like it’s 1999. Recover like it’s 2026.”
Conrad, who turned 40 on February 1st, expressed her excitement by saying, “It’s 40 years old✨ Celebrating with three of my favorite people, @williamtell2nd, leslieannebruce, and yashaaramin.” She noted that they were all born within a few weeks of each other, leading to the idea of a joint celebration.
She extended her thanks to those who contributed, including the band and decorators, and humorously added, “(and sorry to anyone I made feel old).” Notably, she attended Laguna Beach High School’s senior prom during the first season finale of the show, bringing back many memories.
Her former castmates from the show joined in on the Instagram comments, with Kristin Cavallari writing, “Yeah 😉,” and Morgan Smith wishing her a happy birthday, expressing disbelief at how quickly time has passed.
Fans showered her with compliments too; one remarked, “Dream prom! Happy birthday, queen,” while another commented on her corsage. One comment even drew a connection to a recent Taylor Swift music video, capturing the nostalgic vibe of the celebration.
This party came just over a year after another significant event—Conrad participated in her high school’s 20-year reunion in December 2024 alongside some fellow cast members.
