The Aramco Championship featured an impressive lineup, making it one of the standout events in recent LPGA Tour history. As noted by Commissioner Craig Kessler the week before, all 20 players in the Rolex Women’s World Golf Ranking participated, marking the first LPGA Tour event since 2017, aside from majors and the CME Group Tour Championship.

Lauren Coughlin shone among them, showcasing her talent and dedication. She’s known for her relentless work ethic, and her performance at Shadow Creek reflected that commitment.

In a recent interview, Coughlin expressed her confidence in competing against top players, stating she recognizes her place among them.

“Yeah, absolutely, I don’t want to come across as cocky, so I’m not one to really brag about how I feel. But at the same time, playing with these players and watching what they do, I think I’m pretty confident because I don’t—I don’t want to sound smug, but looking at Nelly [Korda] and Gabi [Thitikul], they are clearly top players, yet I don’t see anything they do that I can’t achieve.”

“I’m not claiming to be as good or better than them, but I look at them and think, it’s possible for me. Will I get there? I’m not sure, but it doesn’t feel entirely out of reach, if that makes sense.”

Coughlin’s strong performance and blend of confidence and humility are significant factors in her success.

Another key aspect of her game is her time at Keswick Hall in Virginia Wine Country, where she’s honed her skills. She mentioned how crucial it is to have a supportive central location with ample resources that contribute to her growth.

Keswick Hall is conveniently situated about two hours from the Washington, DC metropolitan area, just over three hours from Baltimore, and about three and a half hours from Raleigh, North Carolina. Charlottesville Albemarle Airport (CHO) is a short 30 minutes away, while Richmond International Airport (RIC) is around 60 minutes from the venue.

This season is already promising for Coughlin, and it will be intriguing to see how it progresses.

She’s ready.
