Lauren Sanchez Becomes Mrs. Bezos
Lauren Sanchez has officially tied the knot with Amazon founder Jeff Bezos. They celebrated their wedding on June 27 at San Giorgio Maggiore in Venice, Italy, with a glamorous guest list.
On Friday, Lauren shared an update on Instagram, revealing her new name, “Lauren Sánchez Bezos,” along with a sneak peek of her wedding dress. It’s clear she was excited about their special day, posting, “06/27/2025” and adding a red heart emoji.
Wedding Dress and Inspiration
Lauren’s wedding dress, a mermaid-style lace gown by Dolce & Gabbana, featured long sleeves and a high neckline. In her Vogue cover story, she expressed that wearing it made her feel “like a princess.” Interestingly, the dress was inspired by Sophia Loren’s bridal look in the 1958 film Houseboat.
She mentioned, “I wanted a simple, sexy modern dress that evokes the moment.” Reflecting on her style evolution, she noted that her choice was more conservative than the outfits she’d worn in the past. “It’s different from what people expect from me,” she said, adding, “but it feels very authentically me.” She hoped her husband would be pleasantly surprised.
Wedding Atmosphere and Guests
Describing the wedding as “very intimate,” Lauren noted that of the 200 guests, around 70 were family. The designer, Stefano Gabbana, mentioned her desire for a “classic and elegant” event, steering away from anything overly flashy.
When discussing traditions, Lauren said, “We don’t have many.” However, she humorously included a “something blue” – a piece from her spaceflight with Blue Origin.
Personal Reflections
During her recent space trip, Lauren shared how it was “one of the deepest experiences” she’s ever had, which added a special meaning to her relationship with Jeff. Reflecting on how Jeff has impacted her life, she expressed, “He hasn’t changed me. He let me reveal myself.” She feels safe and free in his presence.
The couple’s children played a role in the ceremony, with her sons walking her down the aisle and her daughter serving as her maid of honor. All three wore Dolce & Gabbana outfits for the occasion.
Leading up to the wedding, Lauren focused on her health, losing some weight by cutting out alcohol and salt. “I like food,” she remarked, emphasizing the importance of enjoying life. Despite the preparations, what truly matters to her is the life she has chosen with Jeff. “I’m the luckiest woman on the planet,” she concluded.
