Lawmaker proposes bill banning furries in Oklahoma schools

Students who act like stupid geese in Oklahoma can quickly be pulled from class by animal control.

State Rep. Justin Humphrey introduced a bill Tuesday that would ban the use of fur in the state's public schools and allow animal control officials to round up those who don't comply.

House Bill 3084 states, “Students who claim to be fictional animals or animal species, or who engage in anthropomorphism, commonly referred to as furries, in school shall not be permitted to participate in school curriculum or activities.” ” states.

The bill would require parents or guardians to pick up their children from school. If not, “an animal control agency must be contacted to remove the student,” the bill states.

If passed, the law would go into effect in November.

The Republican lawmaker, who previously proposed creating a Bigfoot hunting season in the state, said he is not clear on the definition of furry behavior or what kind of animalistic mannerisms or attire could get kids kicked out of the classroom. He did not elaborate.

Humphrey did not immediately respond to The Post's request for comment.

The bill itself does not include a purpose or reason for its existence, but Humphrey has previously said the bill is to prevent children from identifying as animals.

“People are going to call me crazy for implementing this bill. Hell, you could call them crazy,” he said. he said in the video.

“If we bring an animal to school, why don't we get it vaccinated?” What about spaying and neutering them and sending them to the pound? ”

Republicans appeared to point out a false rumor that a Michigan school district is providing restrooms to students who identify as “furries.” The story was quickly debunked as a fantasy last year.

“I don't want to see kids go into the litter box or kitty litter box. Bear people have lost the will to tolerate pretend animals in the classroom,” he continued ranting about the false story.

“If they become animals. Let's send them to the pound, let's send them home. How do you teach a cat to do arithmetic?”

It is estimated that there are an estimated 250,000 people in the United States who identify as “furries.” This is a subculture whose members enjoy dressing up as cartoonish animals, sometimes as a sexual fetish, but more often as a pleasurable escapade.
