Lawsuit Accuses Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs of Sexually Abusing College Student in the 1990s

NEW YORK (AP) — A woman who claims she was subjected to violence and abuse by Sean “Diddy” Combs over several years in the 1990s has filed a lawsuit in New York accusing the rapper of sexual assault, battery and gender-based violence.

April Lampros, who met Combs in 1994 when she was a college student, said she had several “horrifying sexual experiences” with him, including being forced to take ecstasy and have sex with Combs’ late ex-girlfriend, Kim Porter.

Lampros’ lawsuit, filed Thursday in state court in Manhattan, follows a series of allegations against the embattled hip-hop mogul. A former model filed a separate lawsuit earlier this week alleging that Combs sexually assaulted her at a New York City recording studio in 2003.

Lampros, 51, said in the lawsuit that she met Combs when she was a student at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City and that he showered her with gifts and promised to help her achieve her dreams of a career in fashion.

According to the lawsuit, the relationship became abusive and coercive.

Lampros claims that Combs raped her in a Manhattan hotel room in 1995. She lost consciousness and woke up the next morning “naked, in pain and confused,” according to the lawsuit.

On another occasion, Combs forced her to perform oral sex on him in a parking lot in front of a parking lot worker, Lampros said.

According to the criminal complaint, in 1996, Combs forced Lampros and Porter to have sex with him at his apartment after forcing ecstasy pills down their throats.

“Ms. Lampros vociferously opposed the idea, but Mr. Combs quickly reminded her that she had no control over the situation and that she could lose her job,” the lawsuit states.

Porter died of pneumonia in 2018.

A message seeking comment on Lampros’ accusations was sent to Combs’ attorney.

The Associated Press does not typically publish the names of victims of sexual assault unless they come forward publicly, as Lampros did.

The lawsuit by Lampros and the former model came days after CNN aired security video showing Combs attacking singer Cassie in a Los Angeles hotel hallway in 2016. Combs released a video on Sunday admitting to attacking Cassie in the hotel hallway, saying he was “truly sorry” and that his actions were “unforgivable.”

A lawsuit filed by Cathy in November alleging assault and abuse was settled the day after it was filed. The lawsuit led to increased scrutiny of Combs, with additional lawsuits filed in the following months and a federal criminal sex trafficking investigation leading to searches of Combs’s homes in Los Angeles and Miami.
