Leading health officials from the Trump administration outline their goals for HHS.

In an exclusive interview on “Special Report,” four prominent officials from the Trump administration’s Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) discussed their aims for enhancing the American healthcare system and collaborating with the “Make America Healthy” (MAHA) initiative.

Among those participating were HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Dr. Mehmet Oz, who heads the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Chairman Dr. Marty Makary, and Dr. Jay Bhattacharya from the National Institutes of Health. They are set to appear at Disscan at the Hubert H. Hamley Building as part of a Fox News segment.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. emphasized a shared vision: “We aim to promote a healthier nation through evidence-based science and increased funding. We need to challenge the outdated system that is actually harming our health.”

He further criticized the current healthcare framework, describing it as “a collection of harmful incentives that push people towards poor choices.” He asserted that the focus has shifted from healthcare to merely treating diseases, which they intend to rectify.

Dr. Bhattacharya, Dr. Makary, and Dr. Oz stated that their individual objectives at their organizations align with these overarching goals.

Former Fox News Medical contributor, Dr. Nesheiwat, has relinquished her role following scrutiny over her qualifications and views.

Trump has announced that wellness influencer Casey will take over Nesheiwat’s position, bringing a new perspective to HHS.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. expressed confidence in Casey, saying, “I believe she’s the ideal person to communicate MAHA’s vision effectively. She’s a remarkable talent, known for her impactful writing and ability to inspire.”

In response to the criticisms surrounding her credentials, he defended her: “She graduated at the top of her class at Stanford and excelled throughout her residency, earning numerous accolades.”
