LeAnn Rimes Focuses on Health and Healing Journey
LeAnn Rimes is in a “season of healing” and plans to prioritize her health well into 2026.
After a hectic year filled with filming and tours, the 43-year-old singer recently underwent a plasma exchange procedure at a facility in Nashville, Tennessee. The treatment is meant to help remove “trace toxins” from her body.
This country music star shared her experience of eliminating “mold and microplastics” through this costly $10,000 procedure. On social media, Rimes explained her commitment to self-care, stating, “I demand a lot from my body, so it’s very important to me that I take the best care possible.” She mentioned this was her second plasma exchange and highlighted the addition of stem cells to aid in her recovery.
Rimes expressed her belief in the power of health awareness. She’s always been open about her health and says that sharing these experiences may generate curiosity and discussions. “My only hope is to let people know what healing looks like and to continue the conversation,” she added. The medical process, known as therapeutic plasmapheresis, removes harmful substances from the blood and replaces it with fresh albumin.
Detailing the benefits, Rimes noted, “The idea behind TPE is to remove harmful substances and antibodies that may be present in a patient’s plasma. Think of it like an ‘oil change’ for your body.”
Last summer, she faced a startling incident while performing. She abruptly left the stage during a concert, later revealing that her tooth had fallen out afterward. “Last night I was on stage during ‘One Way Ticket’ and it felt like something was popping in my mouth,” she recounted. Rimes has faced numerous dental issues over the years, having undergone 29 surgeries in total. She once even sued a dentist for malpractice due to complications following veneers.
This journey of health and self-discovery seems ongoing for her, and it highlights the challenges that can come with fame and the pressure to maintain wellness amidst it all.
