Caroline Levitt Reflects on Her Time as Press Secretary

Caroline Levitt, who will conclude her role in the administration at the end of this month to prioritize her family, shared on Wednesday that her tenure as the president’s chief press secretary has been “the honor and adventure of a lifetime.”

Not long after President Donald Trump announced his resignation at the end of August, Levitt expressed her gratitude in a post on X:

Serving as White House Press Secretary for the past year and a half has been an incredible experience. I’m deeply thankful to President Trump for the special opportunities I’ve had—like working in the West Wing, spending countless hours in the Oval Office, and meeting people across our beautiful country.

Most importantly, I am grateful to the President for allowing me the unique role of addressing the public from the White House podium. It’s been a privilege to discuss the administration’s historic achievements, hold the media accountable, and share the truth about President Trump’s successes with the American people.

Levitt plans to continue as Trump’s primary outside advisor and remain active in advocating for the “Make America Great Again” initiative, along with supporting the Republican Party. She pointed out that she perceives leftist extremism as a significant threat to the nation.

We are up against an existential threat posed by a radical Democratic Party aiming to dismantle everything that makes America great. It’s crucial for those who care about our country to confront this challenge. Though my journey has shifted, it’s certainly not at an end.

In her farewell, Levitt expressed her appreciation to the president, first lady, Cabinet members, and White House staff.

“It has been an honor to serve alongside so many remarkable individuals, and I look forward to supporting them in the coming years,” she noted.

President Trump acknowledged Levitt for her work, commending her effectiveness and dedication as one of his “most trusted aides.”

White House officials also praised her contributions as press secretary throughout the administration. Communications director Stephen Chan remarked, “Well done! Caroline is a fantastic teammate, incredibly loyal, and serves the President with honor. While it’s a bittersweet moment, we’re thrilled for her and her family. This isn’t a ‘goodbye’ but more of a ‘see you later.’”

Vice President J.D. Vance commended Levitt for handling a tough role, faced with continuous scrutiny from the media.

“She managed her responsibilities with grace and efficiency. Her voice has been instrumental in defending the president’s policies, and I’m extremely grateful to her,” he added.

During an appearance on the Fox News Channel, White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller expressed great admiration for Levitt, referring to her as a close friend.

“Professionally, she has executed her role as White House Press Secretary excellently. She has epitomized service to this administration and our country, while also inspiring countless young women as a mother, professional, and patriot,” he said.

Several ministers also conveyed their gratitude for Levitt’s service and offered her best wishes for the future.
