Donald Trump's campaign has denied claims that it plans to remove transgender service members from the military.

President Trump's incoming White House press secretary, Caroline Leavitt, recently said that “no decisions have been made on this issue.”
This comes after reports this week that President Trump plans to reinstate and expand the ban on transgender service members and force them to leave the military on active duty.
“These anonymous sources are making assumptions and have no idea what they're actually saying,” Levitt said.
She argues that no policy should be considered official unless it comes directly from President Trump or his authorized spokesperson.
During his first term, President Trump banned transgender people from serving in the military. But he did not fire those already working.
He cited “medical costs” and “confusion” as reasons for his opposition.
