Trump’s Halftime Preferences for the Super Bowl
White House press secretary Caroline Levitt recently shared insights about President Donald Trump’s expected Super Bowl halftime viewing preferences.
Bad Bunny, the Grammy Award-winning artist, is set to headline the official halftime show during the game in Santa Clara, California. However, some conservatives have expressed concerns regarding Bad Bunny’s supposed “woke” tendencies. In response, Turning Point USA (TPUSA) is organizing its own alternative halftime show, featuring country and rock artist Kid Rock.
Levitt noted that Trump would likely prefer to watch the TPUSA event. “I think the president would lean towards a Kid Rock performance over Bad Bunny,” she remarked during a press briefing on Thursday.
While discussing the game between the New England Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks, Levitt mentioned that the president will refrain from making any predictions. Yet, she couldn’t resist sharing her own excitement, saying, “The president wisely decided not to choose a team, but as someone from New Hampshire, I’m rooting for the Patriots.”
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell addressed the potential for Bad Bunny to make political comments during the Super Bowl halftime show, stating, “Bad Bunny is a remarkable artist, and we believe he will use this platform effectively to unite people through creativity and talent. His understanding of this moment is essential.”
This year’s Super Bowl promises not only a clash of football teams but also contrasting musical performances that reflect diverse cultural sentiments.
