AEW’s All In Event Approaches

All Elite Wrestling (AEW) is gearing up for its most significant event of the year, All In, which takes place this Sunday in London. Fans, both those making their way to Wembley Stadium and those watching from home, can expect some big matchups.

Lee Moriarty, who’s not included in the All In lineup, recently shared some insights in an interview with OutKick, discussing the matches he’s particularly eager to see. He highlighted the AEW World Championship clash between Kenny Omega and Will Ospreay, as well as the AEW Women’s World Championship bout featuring Willow Nightingale and Mercedes Moné.

“I’d say the two marquee matches are definitely the AEW men’s and women’s championship matches,” Moriarty noted. “Kenny Omega versus Will Ospreay stands out to me because of the storied history they’ve shared over the years. One of my all-time favorite matches was at Forbidden Door between them—if I recall correctly, it took place in Canada. And then, there’s the matchup between Mercedes Moné and Willow Nightingale for the AEW Women’s World Championship, which has roots going back to the New Japan Strong Championship and the TBS Championship.”

“The history behind each of these confrontations makes them quite special, and I’m really looking forward to watching, you know, and seeing what unfolds,” he continued, hinting at the inspiration he draws from such events.

Moriarty’s only experience participating in an All In event was last year when he took part in an eight-man tag team match alongside his teammates from Shane Taylor Promotions against Dustin Rhodes, Marshall Von Erich, Ross Von Erich, and Sammy Guevara, collectively known as the Sons of Texas. The Sons of Texas emerged victorious in that match.

When asked about his path back to an All In spot, Moriarty shared, “I think it’s just going to take the effort I’ve been putting in. Continuously working hard is crucial. A lot of professional wrestling revolves around timing and preparation, and I feel I’m prepared. It’s all about timing, and I believe I will get there. I truly do. I’m determined to prove that I am one of the best technical wrestlers worldwide. Right now, I feel I’m the best pure wrestler out there.”

Last weekend, Moriarty successfully defended his Ring of Honor Pure Championship against Katsuyori Shibata at Death Before Dishonor.
