Left-leaning outlet mocked for being surprised on who is funding anti-Israel protests

The anti-Israel demonstrators who gathered on college campuses were reportedly funded by several big Democratic donors who supported President Biden’s reelection efforts.

Democratic donors such as George Soros, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, David Rockefeller Jr., director of the Rockefeller Brothers Foundation, and Hyatt hotel owners Susan Pritzker and Nick Pritzker , has funded pro-Palestinian initiatives. Politico reported that they were protesting the Israel-Hamas war.

Jewish Voice for Peace and IfNotNow are the main organizations supporting anti-Israel protests at Columbia University and other campuses, the paper said.

They are supported by the Tides Foundation and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, which receive large sums of money from Soros and distribute funds to left-wing causes.

The Rockefeller Foundation donated $300,000 to the Tides Foundation in 2022, according to Politico.

The Tides Foundation donated $500,000 to Jewish Voice for Peace, a far-left anti-Zionist organization that says the Oct. 7 attack was against Israel and the United States, not Hamas.

The Politico report, headlined “Pro-Palestinian protesters are being supported by a surprising source: Biden’s biggest donor,” finally confirmed what others had reported months ago. He was criticized online on Sunday for making the admission.

republican alabama Sen. Katie Britt commented.“This is not an amazing source of information at all.”

“Surprising to whom?” Republican Rep. Jim Banks responded..

In addition to anti-Israel protests occurring across college campuses, protesters have repeatedly disrupted speeches and events by President Biden and other prominent Democratic leaders.

They call Biden “Genocide Joe” and continue to protest U.S. involvement in the war between Israel and Hamas.

The Pritzkers also supported groups participating in pro-Palestinian protests.

They also fiercely support the president, donating $300,000 to his 2020 presidential campaign.

“why [is the Rockefeller Fund] gave large grants to Jewish Voice for Peace; [which] Are Israel and the US, not Hamas, to blame for the horrific attack on October 7? ” Elisha Wiesel, a Democratic donor and chairman of the Elie Wiesel Foundation, told Politico.

The president spoke out against anti-Semitism and violent protests in a short speech Thursday, but reaffirmed his support for the right to peacefully protest.

“We are not an authoritarian state that silences people or suppresses dissent. The voices of the American people are heard. In fact, peaceful protests are an important part of how Americans respond to critical issues. But we are not a lawless nation. We are a civil society, and order must prevail,” Biden said at the White House.

“So let me be clear… violent protests are not protected. They are peaceful protests. When violence occurs, it is against the law. Destruction of property is not peaceful protest. It is against the law. Vandalism. Trespassing. Shutting down campuses. None of this is peaceful protest. “Intimidating people. Intimidating people. Instilling fear in people is not peaceful protest. It is against the law,” he said.
