After securing a decisive voting mission and launching his second presidential term with a surge in executive orders, Donald Trump overwhelmed his liberal opposition. Progressive struggles to find a compelling story for real estate billionaires, but now it is focusing its attack on reducing foreign aid spending.
One of Trump's executive orders put foreign aid on hold for 90 days. In response, Elon Musk's government efficiency identified the US International Development Agency as a major candidate for elimination. Democrats and their media allies have sought to frame the cut as a cruel act by a wealthy elite who is indifferent to poor Africans who are denied AIDS drugs. But that strategy backfired. As more Americans learn about USAID, they discover how much of their taxes have been sucked into suspicious projects overseas.
USAID funds are not just wasted on political bounties, but are actively used to support some of the most heinous projects imaginable.
While most Americans value generosity, they recognize the importance of participating in domestic needs first. Foreign aid is more likely to be justified in an era of prosperity, but in the event of infrastructure collapse, housing is unruly for young people, food prices are rising, and taxes overseas are in the midst of the world. Expenses are less prioritized.
Democrats warned that millions of lives could be lost if USAID was cut, but their vigilators' rhetoric caused the Streisand effect. As USAID scrutiny increases, Americans are beginning to see the institutions not as lifelines for poor people but as a massive slash fund for progressive ideological projects.
Progressives are committed to their ideology, but they understand that politics revolves around ultimately rewarding friends and punishing their enemies. Sponsorship is the lifeblood of politics, and progressives integrate it into every institution they build and every action they take. Although we can accept or reject this reality, it remains a fundamental aspect of American politics. The fact that progressives accept patronage and conservatives often react from it helps explain the political dominance of the left in the United States. USAID is no exception.
Progressive has transformed the institution into a vehicle that rewards domestic allies and cultivates a network of ideologically linked organizations overseas. The US Foreign Aid Budget may help those in need, but its main function is to fund a global progressive agenda, treating American taxpayers as nothing more than a revenue stream. It is to provide.
It's troublesome enough to divert taxes from American families to fund political allies, but the reality is even worse. Democrats, the media, and foreign policy facilities portray USAID as an important tool for diplomacy. But in reality, institutional funds are not simply wasted on political bounties, but are actively used to support some of the most heinous projects imaginable.
Politico, which has established itself as an independent media outlet in the United States, has received more than $8 million from USAID and other federal agencies. BBC Media Action, the philanthropy arm of UK state media, lists USAID as the second largest contributor. The US government's funding for both domestic and foreign media brings a clear conflict of interest, but this is just the beginning.
USAID has integrated LGBTQI+ ideology into all development programs, particularly in children's education. The agency allocated a $45 million scholarship to influence Burma's governing elite. It also includes $500,000 to promote atheism in Nepal, $32,000 to distribute books for transgender children to Peru, $70,000 to fund Ireland's DEI musical, and Colombian transgender opera. I spent another $70,000 to help. In 2016, USAID directed $300,000 towards the LGBTQ+ education initiatives in Macedonia, a primarily Christian nation. Additionally, US taxes fund Serbia's DEI seminars, Polish left-wing publications, and Bangladeshi transgender advocacy groups.
Progressives do not simply subsidize allies overseas. They use American taxes to pressure foreign governments and organizations to adopt an ideological agenda. Americans are gradually realising that a well-funded global impact campaign is running under that name. The global spread of progressive politics was neither organic nor inevitable. It was a deliberate taxpayer-funded initiative organized by the establishment of US foreign policy.
Democrats framed Elon Musk's proposal to eliminate USAID as a cruel excess of the unelected billionaire and his technical allies. That argument is hollow considering Democrats rely heavily on funding from billionaires like George Soros, and bringing people like Anthony Fauci to almost reinstatement. It rings. Trump's 2024 reelection campaign gained huge support from masks due to SpaceX's founder's commitment to identifying and cutting futile or politically motivated government programs like USAID .
As Trump takes decisive enforcement actions, some conservatives call attention. They warn that they will move too quickly, dismantle too many institutions, and disrupt the established order. This is false advice. Progressives struggle to counter Trump's ability to control the story, and their attempts to push back simply focused on corruption within Washington's bureaucracy. The President has election obligations, moral legitimacy and executive power to enact lasting change. He should continue to push while the momentum is on his side.
Niccolò Machiavelli advised that when injuring an enemy, he must do so decisively to prevent retaliation. If the goal is to restore governance that serves Americans, then change must be complete. Trump isn't just dismantling the global left-wing patronage network for abuse. He excludes his ability to target conservatives. The US government agency must be rebuilt or completely dismantled to serve the country. You can leave them weakened, but you can retaliate.
