Families' New Year's Eve celebrations were interrupted after a Lego display filled with balloons collapsed in a crowded arcade in Massachusetts.
The Peabody Police Department confirmed in a Facebook post that multiple people were injured when a plastic Lego display fell from the mezzanine at Peabody's In the Game Center.
According to the arcade's Facebook page, it was hosting a “Noon New Year's Eve Celebration” on Tuesday afternoon.
Peabody Fire Chief John Dowling told Fox News Digital that he received a call shortly after noon that the ceiling of the arcade had partially collapsed.

After arriving at the scene, Dowling said crews learned it was not a ceiling collapse, but rather a 12-foot-tall Lego exhibit that collapsed on top of people during a balloon drop failure on New Year's Eve. He said he had discovered it.
Mr Dowling said the balloons were supposed to be released from the display during the party, but it appears someone pulled on the display too hard and caused it to fall.
