Can you catch him?
Leonardo DiCaprio shared that he intentionally maintains a low profile to keep people from becoming tired of seeing him.
“I’ve been balancing my whole adult life, but I’m still no expert,” he mentioned as Time magazine named him the 2025 Entertainer of the Year in a cover interview that came out on Monday.
“I think my simple philosophy is that I only go out and do something when I have something to say or something to show for it,” added the 51-year-old star of “Titanic.”
“If not, perhaps it’s best to just stay out of sight.”
After the massive success of “Titanic” back in 1997, DiCaprio started considering options to keep audiences engaged and advance his career.
He reflected, “I was like, ‘Okay, how can I have a long career?'” He believes that avoiding overexposure is key to achieving that longevity.
DiCaprio tends to keep his personal life private—particularly his relationship with 27-year-old Oscar winner Vittoria Ceretti, which he began in 2023.
Rumors about their romance began circulating when they were seen getting cozy at a club in Spain. By September 2023, it was reported that the two were becoming more serious.
In August, Ceretti was spotted giving him a playful slap while they were on a yacht in the Mediterranean.
DiCaprio has previously been linked to younger women, including Gigi Hadid and Camila Morrone. Over the summer, he defended his dating choices, explaining that he feels younger than his actual age.
He hasn’t discussed his current relationship with Ceretti publicly.
