Levin: Biden’s DEI appointments RUINED the Secret Service

If there’s one thing people across the political spectrum can agree on, it’s that the Secret Service was horribly incompetent on July 13th, an absolute disgrace to the United States.

The Secret Service had one mission – to protect former President Donald Trump. And the agency failed. If Mr. Trump hadn’t changed his mind at the last moment, he wouldn’t be with us today.

Mark Levin I can’t believe this happened.

“But what’s so infuriating about this is that the more we learn about it, the more absurd and outrageous it becomes,” Levin said. “This is a small local police department. The U.S. Secret Service has delegated them authority to provide security outside of protected areas?”

Meanwhile, the Secret Service had counter-snipers. So where were the snipers?

“If there’s a countersniper out there, the countersniper’s job is to stay focused, to look for other snipers or potential snipers in trees or buildings or whatever. That’s his job,” Levin said.

“And it turns out they viewed the building as a vulnerable location, and we’re told it was a special forces point for the local police,” he continued. “You can see in the video that people are yelling, ‘There’s a man with a gun over there, there’s a man with a rifle over there.'”

Perhaps the best way to explain how this happened is to start with former Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle, who was head of security for PepsiCo before becoming Director of the Secret Service.

“This is a DEI appointment by Joe Biden,” Levin said. “One of the focuses of the director of the Secret Service is, ‘I want to get to 30 percent women,’ and she’s been very public about that.”

“Well, I want a 100% competent agent. This is not a game,” he added.
