Lexi Hull Looks Ahead as Indiana Fever Prepares for 2026 Season

Lexi Hull played a significant role in leading the Indiana Fever to the WNBA Finals last season, especially after their star player, Caitlin Clark, was sidelined due to injury.

As Clark is set to return in 2026, Hull feels optimistic about their chances, seeing this as an opportunity not just to clinch a championship but also to inspire future generations of fans and athletes.

“It’s amazing to see both girls and boys come to our games and feel hopeful about their own futures,” Hull expressed about her experience in the WNBA. “When I was younger, I didn’t really follow the WNBA or think about playing in the league. Now, I see young girls looking up to us, and that’s incredibly rewarding.”

She went on to share her passion for the game, saying, “I absolutely love it. The energy from the fans is one of the best parts of being a player. It’s fulfilling to know I can be a role model for younger fans, both on and off the court.”

Since being drafted by the Fever in 2022, Hull’s first two years didn’t attract much attention compared to the spotlight that Clark brought in 2024. However, last season, they successfully took the Fever to the playoffs for the first time since 2016, despite facing injuries.

In her performance during 2025, Hull set personal bests in points (7.2), rebounds (4.3), and assists (1.8), while maintaining a shooting percentage of 36.7 from beyond the arc, participating in all 44 games.

During the playoffs, she averaged around 10.3 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 assists across 8 games but faced a tough loss to the Las Vegas Aces in the semifinals.

Looking ahead to 2026, Hull is optimistic. “I believe we can be even better. We managed to get this far last year despite several key injuries. That kind of experience gives us confidence,” she said. “Knowing we’re so close to our goal changes everything. We have to treat every game as if it were the last.”

Hull is also hopeful about potential changes in free agency, believing that they can make substantial improvements.
