Post-Game Clash Between Jaguars’ Cohen and 49ers’ Saleh
After the Jacksonville Jaguars’ four-week game on Sunday night, head coach Liam Cohen had some strong words for San Francisco 49ers defensive coordinator Robert Saleh. Tensions were evident when Fox’s broadcast caught the moment players had to separate the two.
On the field, Cohen was heard saying, “Take my name away from my mouth,” while Saleh shot back, “I’m f—raising your world. You don’t want to do an f with me. I’ll finish your f.” Following this heated exchange, Cohen returned to the locker room, celebrating his team’s victory.
When asked about the post-game incident during a media availability, 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan commented, “I don’t think he should be that sensitive about it, but that’s what it is. I’m not too worried about it.”
Cohen didn’t stop there; he even made light of Saleh’s allegations regarding a signal-stealing scheme. Saleh claimed, “They have legally, very advanced signal plagiarism type systems. They always find ways to put themselves in their favor.” He noted that the 49ers excel at reading signals, emphasizing, “We need to be good at signaling and communication.” However, he maintained that there was nothing illegal about their operations.
In a game where Jacksonville’s defense caused San Francisco to turn the ball over more than four times, they managed to secure a 26-21 victory. The Jaguars intercepted quarterback Brock Purdy twice, and running back Luke Farrell also lost a fumble.
