Liam Payne's grieving girlfriend Kate Cassidy has returned to the US, but is facing a much different lifestyle than the one she shared with the One Direction star, friends say.
Sources told Page Six that the singer gives Cassidy, a 25-year-old social media influencer, $10,000 a month for living expenses, as well as clothing and other items totaling about $25,000 a month. He generously allowed her to use his credit card for expenses.
Cassidy often went shopping with Payne's longtime stylist and friend, Adele Canny, whose services were reportedly financed by Payne.
Cassidy began dating Payne in late 2022, and the couple had moved into a rented home in Wellington, Florida, until the 31-year-old star tragically fell from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on October 16. That was a few weeks ago.
But the couple's expansive five-bedroom home in Wellington, South Florida, was put on the market again in late October for $9,950 a month. According to TMZ.
Earlier this week, Cassidy was photographed leaving the London flat where she had lived since Payne's death in October.
In the photo published in daily mailthe influencer looked depressed as a friend helped her load her belongings into her car ahead of her return to the United States.
“Kate has her own money so she's not out of place. Of course she doesn't have as much money as Liam, but she's not penniless,” a close friend of Cassidy's told Page Six .
“She's making money through social media partnerships. She won't be living the same lifestyle she had with Liam, but she'll be fine.”
Ms. Payne's multimillion-dollar will has not been made public, but friends insisted Ms. Cassidy would not ask for a penny.
“She says she won't claim anything from his estate because they weren't married and he had a son,” a friend said, adding that Ms Payne's relationship with British singer Cheryl She talked about her 7-year-old son Bear.
