Liberal New York Times opinion writer turns over Thanksgiving column to Trump-loving brother

A liberal columnist for the New York Times once again handed over his Thanksgiving opinion piece to his brother, who loves President Trump, but on one condition: “Don't gloat.''

“My brother is doing a card dance.” Explaining the headline of an article by opinion columnist Maureen Dowd on Thursday, she argued that her brother Kevin is very much the real deal, despite the skepticism of critics.

Kevin began the article by saying that despite years of labeling President-elect Trump a racist, dictator, and Hitler, Democrats spent the holiday season “eating a lot of crow.” He pointed out that

“Somehow this racist dictator was able to organize a new coalition of black, Hispanic, middle-class, and working-class voters,” he wrote. “Perhaps it's because no one wants to live in the kind of country the Biden-Harris administration and its leftist allies have created.”

Kevin noted concerns about Trump's involvement on January 6 and said subsequent “legal action” against the president-elect only strengthened Trump's support.

He quoted Washington Post owner Jeff Bezos, who warned of mistrust in the media. Kevin claimed that Vice President Kamala Harris' absence from Joe Rogan's podcast, as well as “heavily biased” coverage of Trump, were major factors in the election.

“Some of the same Democrats who tried to tell us that Biden is not declining tried to tell us that Harris is an exciting and transformative force. Please,” Kevin wrote.

He also offered some advice to Trump, urging him to avoid getting into “minor controversies or perceived slights” that could detract from his presidency.

Kevin ended the piece by promising to teach his sister the “card shuffle.”

“I am slowly entering my twilight days, and I would like to thank President Trump for letting me sleep safely again,” he concluded.
