Podcast Host Critiques Erica Kirk Following Husband’s Death
Jennifer Welch, who hosts the podcast “I’ve Had It,” has publicly criticized Erica Kirk, the widow of the recently murdered Charlie Kirk, accusing her of betraying women. Welch took issue with an interview Erica gave at the Dealbook Summit in Manhattan, where she discussed the rise of mayor-elect Zoran Mamdani. Erica expressed concern that young women might see government support as an excuse to delay starting families.
Welch found fault with Erica’s appearance and arguments, suggesting they reflected a kind of hypocrisy. She pointed out that Erica presented herself differently in front of various audiences, while advocating conservatism, despite reaping the benefits of women’s rights.
“You’re giving yourself luxuries that suffragists fought for, like being a working mother or a CEO,” Welch remarked. “It feels like you’re weaponizing your gender.” She speculated that Erica altered her attire for the Times interview to gain credibility.
In what she termed a ‘deliberate weaponization’ of faith and gender, Welch called Erica a fraud, criticizing her past comments and suggesting they detracted from women’s safety. “Your late husband had views that were deeply problematic,” she stated, lamenting what she sees as Erica’s lack of genuine empathy.
Welch’s comments have made headlines, especially because she has previously expressed controversial views about conservatives and received attention for her reactions, including amusement over opinions that seemed to celebrate Charlie Kirk’s death.
As discussions unfold, it remains to be seen how both women will navigate these intense public exchanges, with reactions reflecting deeper societal struggles around gender and political belief.
Fox News Digital reached out for comments from TPUSA and the White House but has not yet received a response.
