A player from the Detroit Lions has stirred up controversy online after performing what some called a “Trump dance” following a touchdown in a recent game.

During a match against the Washington Commanders in Maryland, where former President Donald Trump was in attendance, wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown celebrated his touchdown by gesturing toward the Lions and mimicking Trump’s dance moves. This display wasn’t just a solo act; two other players joined in on the festivities.

Trump later shared a video of St. Brown’s celebration on his Truth Social account, which quickly gained over 3,000 ReTruths.

The response was swift and harsh, with many expressing their disapproval. One user stated, “Amon-Ra St. Brown, you are a total disgrace,” gathering more than 9,000 likes on X.

Another comment read, “Did Amon-Ra St. Brown do the Trump dance? Forget that guy; I hope Detroit turns against him,” further highlighting the frustration felt by some fans.

Critics continued to voice their anger, with one message saying, “Hi @amonra_stbrown, stop supporting the orange racists and felons who are currently blocking people from getting food.” Others expressed disappointment over St. Brown’s actions, questioning his awareness of the ongoing issues in the community.

Interestingly, while some condemned him, there were voices who supported St. Brown for standing up against what they called cancel culture. Jason Whitlock from Blaze News commented on the incident, suggesting that many in the NFL do not have issues with Trump, but rather feel pressured to conform to certain narratives.
