Liberty Star Betnijah Laney-Hamilton is set to make her unparalleled debut on Tuesday night, and we look forward to defying the familiar face.
Laney-Hamilton signed a relief contract with injuries-plagued races this week. She will wear a suit Tuesday night when the race plays the Sabrina Ionescu Phantom at 8:45pm at TNT.
Laney-Hamilton will remain in the league's reserve player pool for the remainder of the season. This means that if a player who received the roster is not available, they may be called to play for other teams.
The race, coached by New Liberty assistant coach Andrew Wade, is one of the teams that have been hit particularly hard by injuries.
Alyssa Thomas and Jackie Young have suffered knee injuries this season. Thomas has been out since January 24th, but Young recently returned to the team and played in the race in the last two games, but is suspected of a lower body injury in Tuesday's game.
Tiffany Hayes and Kate Martin will also not play on Tuesday.

Hayes remains on concussion protocol, with Martin being listed as “out-of-out” with a left leg injury in the team availability report.
Meanwhile, Kayla McBride is suspected of having an injury to her left leg.
Laney-Hamilton received a call-up as at least three of the five players are not available for Tuesday's match. She will be joined by Natisha Hiedeman and potentially Kiki Jefferson.
30-year-old Laney-Hamilton will be appearing along with his ninth WNBA season and fourth Liberty. She won New York's first professional basketball title in over 50 years, averaging 11.8 points, 4.2 rebounds and 3.3 assists in 28 games.
