Lil Nas X entered a not guilty plea on Monday regarding felony charges following his recent arrest in Los Angeles. The rapper, whose real name is Montero Lamar Hill, faces one count of three battery charges involving injuries to a police officer and another count for felony resisting an executive officer, as confirmed by the District Attorney’s Office.
The incident reportedly occurred when Lil Nas X was confronted by police while walking nude in the Studio City area early Friday morning. During his court appearance, he was seen in a blue jumpsuit from behind a glass partition.
Authorities claim that the singer was arrested after an altercation with an officer. Initial suspicions from the Los Angeles Police Department indicated that he might have been experiencing a possible overdose, leading to a brief hospitalization before being placed in jail.
The charges indicate that he allegedly used force against the officers involved, resulting in injuries. Initially, Lil Nas X was booked on misdemeanors related to obstructing officers.
His bail was set at $75,000, with a stipulation for participation in drug treatment programs. Reports suggest he was released on these conditions, which include not using or disposing of illegal substances. As of now, representatives for Lil Nas X have not provided any comments regarding the situation.
