Lil Nas X Speaks Out on Recent Arrest

Lil Nas X has finally addressed his unusual, nude arrest, which involved an incident with a Los Angeles police officer. The 26-year-old, born Montero Lamar Hill, is facing four felony charges related to allegedly injuring an officer who found him wandering around Los Angeles last Thursday, clad only in tight white pants and cowboy boots.

In a candid Instagram post, he reassured fans, “Your girl is fine, boo. Okay? S-t is fine.” He went on to add, “It was scary. It was scary. It was scary. It was scary for the past four days. But your girl is fine.”

The rapper was reportedly seen with a traffic cone over his head, reportedly wearing nothing but his underwear and cowboy boots at the time. Additionally, he allegedly threw a sock at an officer “twice in the face” during the incident.

According to a police report, after officers subdued him, he was taken to a nearby hospital for evaluation due to concerns of a possible overdose.

Lil Nas X was arraigned on Monday and entered a plea of not guilty. He agreed to the judge’s suggestion to attend a drug anonymous meeting and was released on $75,000 bail, which is notably lower than the prosecutor’s request for $300,000.

Speaking to reporters outside the courthouse, Hill’s father, Robert Stanford, expressed concern, noting that his son has no prior history of substance abuse and has “very regretted it.” He added, “It can happen to any family. He’s trying to get the help he needs, so put him in your prayers. God is good.”

Just two days before the incident, the artist had cleansed his Instagram and made multiple posts from a luxury Los Angeles home, marking his return to what he called “Dreamworld.” Additionally, one of his posts reflected on his struggles with confidence after the passing of his grandmother in 2018, describing his experiences with “hypochondria.” He mentioned that smoking weed heavily helped him feel a sense of “connection with the universe.”

In April, Hill had faced health issues, being hospitalized due to “losing control on the right side” of his face, although he has since reported recovery. He is set to return to court on September 15th for his next pre-trial hearing.
