Lindsey Buckingham's supposed stalker taken into custody and charged in Indiana

Fleetwood Mac Guitarist Lindsey Buckingham’s Suspected Stalker Arrested

The alleged stalker of Lindsey Buckingham, the guitarist from Fleetwood Mac, has been apprehended. On Saturday, authorities took 55-year-old Michelle Dick into custody in Fort Wayne, Indiana. According to jail records, she is being held without bail at the Allen County Jail while awaiting extradition to California.

A representative from the Fort Wayne Police Department shared that they had received information regarding Dick’s presence at a specific hotel in the area. Despite not finding her there, officers located and arrested her at a nearby hotel without any issues.

Last month, Buckingham, 76, was reportedly attacked by a woman during an appointment in Santa Monica, California. The suspect, labeled a “suspected stalker” by officials, allegedly threw an unidentified substance at Buckingham before fleeing the scene.

Dick has claimed that Buckingham is her biological father. Previously, she approached him in March and had visited his home in Brentwood. She has been accused multiple times of stalking Buckingham and his family. The current charges include two counts of stalking, two counts of making threats with intent to terrorize, assault with a deadly weapon, vandalism, and battery, as per court documents.

The timeline of the alleged offenses dates back to October 2021 up until last month. Buckingham had filed for a restraining order against Dick in December 2024, expressing concern for his safety and that of his family due to her behavior, which he feared could escalate.

In the petition, Buckingham mentioned that Dick had obtained his wife’s work cell phone number and contacted her frequently, sometimes leaving alarming messages claiming to be his child and making threatening remarks. He explicitly stated that he does not know Dick and asserts he is not her father.

He expressed his fears about her mental state, describing her as “clearly mentally unfit and delusional,” and noted this made her unpredictable and fearful to him. A judge in Los Angeles County granted a restraining order requiring Dick to maintain a distance of at least 100 yards from Buckingham and his family, effectively prohibiting her from attempting any contact.
