Linkin Park announced they’ve welcomed a new singer and will be releasing a new album 7 years after their former singer, Chester Bennington, took his own life.
The band will now include Emily Armstrong, as she joins Mike Shinoda, Brad Delson, Phoenix and Joe Hahn for the band’s forthcoming projects. News of the big changes within the group was shared on the band’s social media page Thursday. Videos were posted on Instagram, including a sit-down interview with Zane Lowe, at which time the band explained what their future would look like.

The new album and tour are on the horizon, but Linkin Park will very much keep the same vibes and energy that fans are used to, as Armstrong blends into the mix. Armstrong will share vocals with Shinoda and Colin Brittain will join as the new drummer in the group, according to BBC.
Linkin Park’s new album is titled “From Zero,” and is already being being teased on their social media pages.
Armstrong previously sang for the band Dead Sara, and Brittain has worked with the likes of G Flip and One OK Rock and Illenium in the past, according to BBC.
The fresh new album will be released Nov. 15, and will feature 11 brand new tracks. The first tingle, “The Emptiness Machine” was released Thursday.
Linkin Park’s concert dates will begin in Inglewood, New York, London, Germany, South Korea and Columbia, according to TMZ. (RELATED: Halsey Shares New Single, Shocking Health Update)
This is the first time the band has released new music since Chester Bennington hanged himself at the age of 41, on the same day that marked the birthday of his late friend and fellow musician, Chris Cornell.
