Detroit Lions defensive end Aidan Hutchinson entered Sunday's game against the Dallas Cowboys leading the NFL with 6.5 sacks, but his season is in jeopardy.
In the third quarter, Hutchinson extended his league lead with his seventh sack of the season. However, as Hutchinson was on the ground after making a tackle on Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott, it appeared that he hit another player with his leg.

Hutchinson immediately writhes in pain and takes off his gloves as medical trainers treat him. Players and coaches from both teams gathered around the third-year player, and the game was temporarily halted.

He was then put into a car on a backboard and driven off the field at AT&T Stadium.
Hutchinson had three total tackles before his injury.

He's been one of the reasons the Lions' defense has been resurgent since the 2022 season. Detroit selected him with the second pick in that year's draft, and he quickly rose to prominence. He had 9.5 sacks and three interceptions and was the runner-up for Defensive Rookie of the Year in 2022.
Last season, he had 11.5 sacks and one interception, earning him his first Pro Bowl selection.
