ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. There was similar news earlier in the day about Hutchinson's rehabilitation, with one source telling NFL officials that it would be better if he didn't return for a possible Super Bowl appearance than if he did. He said he would be surprised.

Hutchinson went down with a fractured tibia and fibula during the Lions' game against the Cowboys in Week 6.

The Lions' star defensive lineman gave an update on his rehabilitation in a social media post to young fans earlier this week.
