Even if you win, there will be criticism. Lions head coach Dan Campbell was being nudged and prodded about playing as the starting pitcher in the big win. He said Sunday he sees that as a positive.

Asked about his decision-making process for when to remove a starting pitcher, Campbell said: “It's a weird thing. This is another one of those weird things you run into.” “Normally things like this don't happen. It's like the third time this season this has happened, but it's a good problem to have.

“There are a lot of things going on, and I think they want to know that they finished on a good note, that they found their rhythm, that they maintained their rhythm, and that they can say, “Okay, the time has come, let's get it out.'' It's difficult. The thing is, you're playing pretty good, but then you do this dip, and then it starts to taste bad, like, “Okay, now I don't want to hurt anyone, so I'm going to pull them out, and then the blood Will you be playing next week? ” So some people will come into that, but I think we need to sense that. ”

Chargers thwart Bengals comeback in epic Sunday night thriller

Detroit gained 645 total yards and gained 38 first downs to the Jaguars' 10. They completely dominated the match from start to finish.

Campbell said it was probably one of the best performances he's seen from his team this season, and thought the offense could end up having one of the best performances in NFL history.

“I think we have that ability, I really do. I think we have that ability. To me, we have everything we need to be powerful, and I say “I feel like we're well rounded,” he said. “If you can run the ball with the big boys up front, you've got a hammer like David (Montgomery), you've got electric, you've got this electric (Jahmil) Gibbs, you've got (Jameson) on the perimeter.” And we have our rock (Amon-Ra) St. Brown, he continues to play — you can put him anywhere and you need it and he has it. are. I think (Jared) Goff runs the whole show, I think we're dangerous.

“We have the ability to do that, because the reality is, as long as we're doing our job, as long as we're on our game, as long as we're locked in, as long as we're finishing, we're going to get what we need. Because you can always play the game. You can do that.”
