Sunday's NFC North rivalry at Minnesota certainly lived up to all expectations.
The Detroit Lions' offense continued to dominate in a 31-29 victory over the Minnesota Vikings.
The home team got off to a 10-0 start in front of the home crowd. Two plays after the Lions missed a fake punt, Aaron Jones ran for a 34-yard touchdown. On the next drive, they kicked a 57-yard field goal.

But Detroit scored 21 points in the second quarter thanks to Jahmil Gibbs' 45- and 8-yard rushing scores and Jared Goff's 35-yard touchdown to Amon-Ra St. Brown.
Halftime was certainly in Minnesota's favor. Minnesota came out with a touchdown drive. Sam Darnold found Justin Jefferson for a 25-yard score, making the game 21-17. However, Goff threw his third touchdown of the game 21 yards to Khalif Raymond to restore the lead to 11 points.
After kicking a field goal to make it a one-possession game, the Vikings forced the Lions to punt, but Darnold was sacked on third-and-7, forcing them to kick another field goal for a 28-23 lead. It was done. Just over 6 minutes left.
However, the defense stepped up significantly as David Montgomery fumbled, and the ball was recovered by Ivan Pace Jr. and brought home. Their two-point conversion failed, but they still led 29-28. The defensive dominance continued on the next drive, sacking Goff on third down for 16 points and forcing a punt with just over four minutes remaining.

Browns' Deshaun Watson leaves the field with what appears to be an Achilles tendon injury.
However, Detroit's defense forced a three-and-out, drove down the field, and was able to end the drive with a 44-yard field goal with 15 seconds left. The Vikings looked for a last-minute comeback, but Darnold was sacked on the final play, giving the Lions the win.
Goff completed 22 of 25 passes for 280 yards, while St. Brown led the way with eight catches for 112 yards and the aforementioned score. Gibbs ran for 116 yards and two touchdowns.
It was the Vikings' first loss of the season, and both teams now have a record of 5 wins and 1 loss. However, Detroit took the lead in the division in the tiebreaker.
