Lisa Kudrow recently made waves during the latest season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Unlike Sarah Michelle Gellar, who took a more cautious approach, Kudrow confronted executive producer Andy Cohen directly.
In an episode that aired on May 11, Cohen asked Kudrow during Watch What Happens Live whether she still had ties to the Bravo show.
“That’s right. I saw it,” she noted when Cohen sought her opinion on season 15, which just wrapped up. However, she expressed hesitation, saying, “I don’t want to discuss that. I just want to point out it’s a black Mercedes Sprinter Twin. I caught it. Sorry.”
When Kudrow playfully questioned if there was an edit coming, Cohen looked momentarily at a loss for words.
Her comment referenced a moment viewers thought seemed staged. In a tense scene in Italy, Dorit Kemsley appeared to leave Kyle Richards and Erika Jayne in the lurch after a heated exchange. They accused Kemsley of recklessly driving the Sprinter van, leaving them stranded in Florence. Some savvy viewers picked up on the fact that another identical van was available for the two to use afterward, suggesting they weren’t truly abandoned.
“This is why I love #LisaKudrow. I also saw the second van,” noted one viewer on X, criticizing Cohen for being displeased with guests who don’t share his views. “Andy isn’t happy with guests who don’t parrot his point of view. #SarahMichelleGellar made waves by calling #RHOBH boring, and now Kudrow is hinting at production manipulation.”
Another viewer added, “First Sarah Michelle. Now Lisa. They’re saying what needs to be said. Refresh the show!” A third chimed in, “The way she calls him out is so unexpected, and I appreciate her for it.”
Cohen had previously criticized Gellar for calling the season a rob. In a March appearance on Page Six Radio, he snapped, “It’s boring.” He expressed frustration, saying, “They post it, and it’s like, ‘I hate Sarah Michelle Gellar.’ Everywhere you look in the studio, there’s promo for The Housewives of Beverly Hills. I wonder, will the door be locked when I leave? How about that?”
He concluded his tirade by stating, “By the way, she’s wrong.”
Watch What Happens Live airs from Sunday to Thursday at 10 p.m. ET on Bravo, with new episodes available to stream on Peacock the following day.
