Lisa Rinna confronts Andy Cohen for sharing private messages in his book

Lisa Rinna’s Reaction to Andy Cohen’s Memoir

Lisa Rinna expressed her anger after discovering that Andy Cohen included private text messages in his 2023 memoir. In a rather dramatic response, she said she “gleefully” watched his book burn in her fireplace.

In her own book, You Better Believe I’ll Talk About It, released recently, Rinna shared her feelings about Cohen’s disclosure. She mentioned receiving a warning from him that her life would be featured in the memoir, leading her to conclude, “you know you’re crazy” if you’re alerted about appearing in someone else’s book.

The texts discussed her surprising leave from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills in 2023, leaving fans puzzled about whether she was let go or chose to depart voluntarily.

Rinna described Cohen’s actions as “shady,” saying that after reading the memoir, she was so infuriated that she tossed it into the fire. “It was so unnecessary,” she emphasized.

Cohen recounted in his memoir a late-night message from Rinna announcing her exit from the show. Yet, a week later, she reached out again, inquiring about the possibility of continuing with the next season. Ultimately, he noted that Bravo decided to “take a break” regarding her involvement.

Rinna reflected on the lack of support she felt, stating, “I felt abandoned by everyone I had ever been with.” She was upset that no one fought for her to stay, even though they had previously encouraged her to continue.

To add to her frustration, during the Season 13 premiere, her resignation email was publicly displayed. The email, dated September 10, 2022, informed Bravo’s executives that she would not be renewing her contract.

For Rinna, this act felt like a breach of privacy. She described the email’s revelation as “very sketchy,” but also recognized it as part of the game she was engaged in.

Her official departure announcement came on January 5, 2023, where she expressed gratitude for her time with Bravo, reflecting on the eight years as her longest job in a 35-year career.

Despite her earlier criticisms, Cohen described Rinna’s tenure on the show as an “iconic run,” giving the impression that there might not be any hard feelings left between them.

Last year, Rinna made headlines by likening season 14 of RHOBH to the Titanic, prompting Cohen to confront her during an interview. She stood by her analogy, maintaining that the show was indeed struggling.

Yet, Rinna recently reassured fans that her relationship with Cohen was good, even after feeling hurt by his decision to share their private exchanges. Reflecting on their rapport, she stated, “I’m fine with him today,” acknowledging that he had his own narrative to tell in his book.
