Cam Smith and Ripper GC are the winners of the 2024 LIV Golf Team Championship.
They finished with a total score of 11 under par, beating 4 Aces GC and Ironheads GC by three strokes.
The final Tier 1 team is Jon Rahm's Legion XIII at 6 under par.
The Australian team performed well on Sunday, winning their first ever team title.
After starting the day with a bogey, Smith shot a 4-under 68 to lead the team, from there the captain recorded five birdies to lead the team.
Justin Herbert had the second-lowest score with a 3-under 69. Matt Jones and Marc Leishman rounded out the team with 2-under 70s.
Smith couldn't say enough good things about his team.
“They're great people, and I think that's what being the Rippers is,” Smith said. “We happen to be good golfers as well, so it's a good combination. And when I saw those three out there today, or six guys out there that I can really count on to get the job done, there was something about that that told myself we're going to be OK.”
With the win, Ripper GC will earn $14 million, with $8.4 million going to the team and $1.4 million for each player.
Smith's team won back-to-back tournaments at LIV Adelaide and LIV Golf Singapore earlier this season.
“The event in Australia was amazing,” Smith said of the Australian event. “We had some amazing support. I'm in Dallas, Texas right now and the amount of Ripper hats I see around is pretty crazy. We have the best fans and the best traveling fans. They're everywhere. I'm really happy to be a part of it.”
Kevin Na's Ironheads GC beat Brooks Koepka's Smash GC in the quarterfinals and Bryson DeChambeau's top-ranked team in the semifinals, but weren't strong enough to beat Smith and Ripper GC.
Smith and his team held off four aces to deny the South Korean a second LIV Golf Team Championship win and give the Saudi Arabia-backed league its third winner in the tournament.
