Former Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) responded to insults hurled at her by President Donald Trump during her Inauguration Day speech.
President Trump addressed supporters in Emancipation Hall at the Capitol and spoke about the pardon that former President Joe Biden granted Cheney shortly before leaving office.
“Lies and people who lie do not get better with age.”
“Why are we helping some of these people? Why are we supporting Liz Cheney? She's the worst, a crying lunatic,” he said.
Trump added, “One day they're going to turn against us because we don't want to kill people in war.” “Liz Cheney hated the concept of not going to war with everyone. 'Let's kill everyone. Let's spend a lot of money on military equipment.' You know where her father works, right?”
He also accused members of the Congressional committee investigating the January 6 riot of concealing important evidence.
