Lizzo slammed rumors that Ozempic was to blame for her dramatic weight loss.
In an Instagram post, the 36-year-old rapper denied speculation that he was taking an off-label prescribed type 2 diabetes medication to lose weight, and credited his transformation to diet and fitness.
“After 5 months of weight training and restricting calories, the Ozempic allegations have finally surfaced,” Lizzo, who was born Melissa Vivian Jefferson, wrote in a video post shared on Friday.

In the video, Lizzo is wearing a red kimono, resting her chin on her hands, smiling for the camera, then sighing.

The post was captioned “'Ozempic or Coke?' fans,” along with several crying face emojis. The caption was directed at social media users who commented on a previous post Lizzo shared, which featured a video of her wearing black leather shorts over a beige bodysuit from her brand, Izzy.
In her latest post, Lizzo included a screenshot of the comments section of an earlier post, where one Instagram user wrote: “Did she use Ozempic or snort cocaine.”

The “Good As Hell” hitmaker has been documenting her weight loss journey on Instagram, Before and After Video She announced the results on Wednesday.
“When the Ozempic allegations finally emerged after five months of weight training and a calorie deficit.”

In the “Before” clip, Lizzo appeared wearing a black bra and underwear set by Izzy, before the video cut to the “After” clip, which showed Lizzo in a light gray bodysuit.

The video features audio from a radio interview in which Nicki Minaj says, “It's insane to talk about what I look like. I'm a bad bitch. I've always been a bad bitch.”
Lizzo imitates Minaj's words in the video, which is captioned, “It doesn't matter.”

During an interview with The New York Times in April, Lizzo spoke candidly about her body image.
“I'm not going to lie and say I love my body every day,” the singer told the outlet, “At the end of the day, how I feel about my body changes every day.”
“Some days I love my body and other days I don't feel positive about it at all.”

Lizzo revealed that she's been focusing on health and fitness during her hiatus from touring.
“I take time every day to show my body love,” the four-time Grammy winner said. “There's not a day that goes by that I regret taking a walk or doing Pilates.”

The singer also explained that she is on a diet and is taking a gradual approach to losing the weight.
“I've been losing weight slowly and systematically,” Lizzo told the outlet.
Lizzo also addressed criticism about her appearance, saying, “My body is nobody's business.”
